句型：「太...以至於不能...」英文有以下幾種翻譯

1. too + adj./adv. to + VR

2. so ... that S cannot + VR

差別在於 too ... to 後面是接原型動詞，本身已經有否定意思，並且主詞都是同一個

so ... that ... 後面是接句子，主詞可以是不同人

假設題目為：

這件事太好了，好像不是真的。

就可以寫成

1. It is too good to be true. (比較順)

2. It is so good that it cannot be true.

Mark太矮了以至於碰不到天花板。

就可以寫成

1. Mark is too short to touch the ceiling.

2. Mark is so short that he cannot touch the ceiling.

如果主詞不一樣的話，too ... to 的句型可以加入 for sb

這件工作對這個男孩來說太難了，所以根本沒辦法做。

就可以寫成

1. The job is too difficult for the boy to do.

2. The job is so difficult that the boy cannot do it.

1. 這部車太舊了，以致於不能開了。

2. 我的洋裝太小了，以致於不能再穿了。 

3. 他實在是太驚訝了，以致於無法相信它。

4. 這次考試對我來說太難了，所以我考不好。

5. 房間太亂了，以致於無法找到我的眼鏡。

1. The car is too old to drive. (比較順) 或 The car is so old that we cannot drive it.

2. My dress is too small to wear. 或 My dress is so small that I cannot fit into it. 

3. It was too shocking for him to believe. 或 He was so shocked that he couldn't believe it.

4. The test was too difficult for me to get good grades. 或 The test was so difficult that I couldn't get good grades.

5. The room is too messy for me to find my glasses. 或 The room is so messy that I cannot find my glasses.onal relationship.
