許多考試如 多益TOEIC、雅思IELTS、指考學測英檢的作文

都需要這項技巧，如果今天再寫一篇有關「運動很重要」英文作文

整篇下來只有 important 寫了三遍，讀者多多少少也會覺得疲乏

是不是沒有其他話可以說了？如果能換成 critical, significant, crucial or of great importance

也許文章看起來就會活潑許多～

paraphrasing 就是如果這條路不通，能不能換一個方式解釋？

今天來介紹除了 beautiful 還能表達「漂亮」的字

 lovely (adj.) 可愛的

You look lovely in that dress.

你穿那條裙子很好看。

 注意：

人 look + adj. in + 衣物

衣物 look + adj. on + 人

 appealing (adj.) 吸睛的

She has a nice smile and an appealing personality.

她的微笑非常迷人，個性也充滿魅力。

 attractive, alluring (adj.) 誘人的 (通常指sex方面有吸引力的)

I find her very attractive (= her attracts me sexually).

我覺得他外表迷人。

She was wearing the most alluring dress at Sam's dinner party.

她出席薩姆的晚宴時身穿一件非常迷人的禮服。

 pretty, gorgeous (adj.) 漂亮的

The bride looked gorgeous.

新娘看上去太美麗了。

She's got such a pretty daughter.

她有一個如此美貌的女兒。

 注意：

pretty 這個字也很常當作副詞，表示「很」的意思= very, so

例如：She's pretty smart.

 good-looking (adj.) 好看的

She's very good-looking and very bright.

他外表很美麗，又特別聰明。

 ravishing (adj.) 標緻的

She looked ravishing.

She was a ravishing sight in her wedding dress.

她穿著婚紗看上去美極了。

 elegant (adj.) 優雅的

Jenny is such an elegant woman.

珍妮真是一位舉止優雅的女性

 stunning (adj.) 令人驚豔的

She looked stunning in that red dress.

她穿那件紅洋裝簡直美極了。

 dazzling (adj.) 光彩奪目的

a dazzling smile
