雖然都是在講「儘管」、「雖然」

Even if 跟 Even though 其實還是不一樣唷！今天來學 「Even if 跟 Even though 的差別」

even if 跟 even though 都是「連接詞」用來連接兩個句子

even though 用來接「事實或是過去發生的事」

通常也用來表示「令人驚訝、出乎意料或極端的事物」

（通常會接現在式或過去式）

 例句：

Even though I hate driving, I'm still going to Tainan.

儘管我討厭開車，我還是要去台南。

Even though I hate tennis, I'm still going to watch the final.

儘管我討厭網球，我還是要去看比賽。

Even though he left school at 16, he still managed to become prime minister.

儘管他年僅16歲就輟學了，但最終還是當上了首相。

even if 用來接「假設的狀況」但不管怎樣，結果是一樣的

用法同條件句（使用現在簡單式代替未來式）（或假設語氣）

 例句：

Even if it's sunny when we're in Tainan, I'm not going swimming.

即使到時候台南天氣晴，我還是不會游泳。

Even if you paid me, I wouldn't watch that film.

即使你會付我錢，我還是不會看那電影。（付錢的機率很小，但不管怎樣都不會看）

Even if you take a taxi, you'll still miss your train.

即使乘計程車去，你還是趕不上火車。

練習：選出錯誤的地方（反白看答案）

1. Even if you cheated on me, I still love you.

2. Even though I could stop the rain, I'd still stay inside today.

3. Even if you failed your exam, I'll still buy you an ice-cream.

4. Despite you failed your exam, I still buy you an ice-cream.

（反白看答案）

1. Even if --> Even though

2. Even though --> Even if

3. failed --> fail

4. Despite --> Even though
