國中在學「必須」的時候學到 must 跟 have to好像可以互換

但其實他們不一樣唷！今天來學 「Must 跟 Have to 的差別」

延伸閱讀  平平都是未來式 will 跟 be going to 大不同

must 跟 have to 都是表達「義務」而且後面都接上原型動詞

have to 用於表達「別人加諸於我們的義務」是別人幫我們決定的

（通常是法律或規定）

 例句：

We have to show our badges to enter the building.

要進去這個建築，我們必須要出示門禁卡。

You have to smoke outside. Smoking is not allowed inside.

你必須去外面抽菸，室內是禁菸的。

She has to have a license before she drives.

她必須要擁有駕照才可以開車。

must 用於表達「我們自己決定的義務」或是「我們規定別人決定的義務」

 例句：

You must go to bed before 11.

你必須要11點才上床睡覺。

I must exercise more often.

我必須要更常運動。

We must clean the house today.

我們今天必須要打掃家裡。

練習：選出錯誤的地方（反白看答案）

1. I can't come to the party. I must doing my homework.

2. We must drive on the left in England because it's the traffic rule.

3. I must start work at 9 am every day.

4. I have to eat ice-cream this evening.

5. One of the laws is that we must pay our taxes.

6. I'm their father and I say they have to go to bed at 8 pm.

1. must doing --> have to do

2. must --> have to (規定)

3. 看語氣 must 表自己決定, have to 則表別人規定

4. 看語氣 must 表自己決定, have to 則表別人規定

5. must --> have to (法律)

6. have to --> must (我們規定別人決定的義務)
